Verbund, Austria’s leading electricity company, has relocated its Romanian office, renting a few hundred square meters in the Unimed Building. The transaction was assisted by Crosspoint.
The new headquarter is positioned in an office building situated in the center of Bucharest, near Piata Universitatii. The office has 200 square meters and a generous terrace with views over Bucharest center.
„The new office helps us in the relationship we have with our business partners. Moreover, the fact that we are located in the heart of Bucharest offers the best conditions for Verdund’s employees and customers. The new location gives us flexibility, comfort and mobility”, state Verbund’s representatives.
Located on the seventh floor, the new headquarter includes a conference room, executive offices and a modern open space. The rental period is of five years.
With 3.9 billion euro revenue in 2011, Verbund is Austria’s leading electricity company. The company is also one of the largest energy producers in Europe, providing energy to over 4 million customers. Verbund has approximately 3,000 employees worldwide and covers, together with its partners, all sectors of energy supply – from production, transport and distribution to marketing and sales activities. In Romania, Verbund has a 100 MW wind farm opened in May 2012. As well, the company is building another energy production unit, which will have 100 MW power. In total, Verbund has invested more than 150 million in Romania.
